I have never been in a place with so much love, support, encouragement, and motivation before.
I have met people from diverse backgrounds, but despite our various addictions and habits we accepted and respected each other at all times. The group sessions, which I feared the most, was comfortable, informative and motivational. At all times we had a member off staff to rely on and never felt alone in a strange place. We were not treated as just another patient, but as a part of a unique family.
With the encouragement and positive reinforcement of all the members of staff (Reinier, Morne, Tannie Linda, Oom Leon, Zanel, Sedzani, Happy, Kirk, Diana and Melody) we found our true selves again. And faced our addition head on. My mind was opened to the reality of the life that I was leading and how and why it will never again be worth the phycological and physical loss I suffered.
Coming to Breakthrough Wellness Centre was one of the best decisions I made in my life. The people and place will forever be with me in my hart and mind. I will never forget my time here and will visit my 2nd home when I can.
